Award-winning instore theatre for a franchise phenomenon.
Star Wars is one of the largest global franchises of all time. For the Home Entertainment release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, we were briefed to design two stock-holding displays that would create visual cut-through in the busy retail environments of specialist and mass retail.
For the specialist retail environment, we had to design a visually exciting DVD / Blu-ray stock-holding unit that was still relatively small in footprint yet had a large capacity. To deliver a standout solution, we mimicked the AT-M6 (All Terrain MegaCaliber Six) vehicle from the film.
For the mass retail variant, we designed a large front-of-store display to act as a beacon for the release. The unit was theatrical in style and size and with it being two-sided, one side featured product displayed in tiered trays with lugs for character art. The rear featured large lug-on graphic panels for visual impact and a great photo-op destination.
The specialist AT-M6 stock-holding unit was extremely well received by the retailer. All stores that received the AT-M6 stock-holding unit placed it front of store. The mass retail 24 Pocket PDQ increased the store ranking of those stores that received it by 10 stores versus the average of the last 5 major releases. Both displays featured heavily in photo-ops and were spotted across social media.
