In anticipation of The Cabin in the Woods and Sicario being released onto 4K Ultra-HD
Blu-ray for the first time, Lionsgate wanted to engage existing fans to trade up to the new format. Existing key arts had been used on multiple formats in the past (across both new release and catalogue cycles) so a brand new look felt fitting…and the unique situation of an open brief.
The result was the combination of in-house illustration with iconic artwork assets to create a fresh, collector-centric look, which subtly connected elements to delight the fanbase.
Lionsgate loved the new catalogue packaging and immediately asked us to originate a concept design for Sicario 2: Soldado’s new release launch. The final key art was rolled out across the campaign activation.
